Description
This Zebra® KdO ribbon is ideal for printing grayscale images and logos on a single-sided card. This ribbon contains 1 black dye sublimation panel (Kd) and 1 clear overlay panel (O). There are two different processes used in the printing of this ribbon: dye sublimation for the black panel and thermal transfer for the clear overlay. The dye sublimation technique prints on a grey scale, which enables the printing of shadows and grey shades. This color gradient is only possible with KdO ribbons. Indeed, images printed with a black resin ribbon have a “spotted” pattern on them, since they are unable to print different shades of grey. This ribbon is compatible with Zebra® ZXP Series 3 card printers (ZXP3).
